Felt making with Catherine Carmyllie

Felt making is the oldest form of making a textile. Choose from over 50 shades of merino wool, silks, cashmere and other exotic fibres such as recycled sari yarns, soy fibre, camel down - using just water and olive soap the fibres will magically transform into a textile in your hands! Felting is a very relaxing and rewarding creative skill which you can continue at home for little investment. Catherine learnt her skills over 20 years ago when she lived in Finland. She has lots of different examples to inspire you. All equipment and materials provided.

Catherine will give you some background and a short demonstration before letting you design and plan your floral piece. Depending how quickly you felt, you could complete 2 different style shapes which Catherine will show you. Finally finish off your piece with a clip/back to help you pin to a hairclip, bag or coat collar. Totally unique and 100% handmade!

The workshop takes place in the gorgeous Wild Flowers Florist - lots of inspiration!

This experience costs only £30.00.
